Description

Biblical Foundation:

The biblical priests used the mantle over their white tunic representing a coverage as a symbol of justice.

Mantles not only represent coverage but also the backing of God. This makes it possible for the anointing to flow through the dancers.

I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for He has clothed me with the garments of salvation, He has covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels(Isaiah 61:10).

They are used to minister:

Manifested power of God. The mantles are used to represent different manifestations of the Holy Spirit making them visible in our midst. Then he took the mantle of Elijah that had fallen from him, and struck the water, and said, “Where is the Lord God of Elijah?” And when he also had struck the water, it was divided this way and that; and Elisha crossed over (2 Kings 2:9-14).

Covering. When I passed by you again and looked upon you, indeed your time was the time of love; so I spread My wing over you and covered your nakedness. Yes, I swore an oath to you and entered into a covenant with you, and you became Mine (Ezekiel 16:8).

Justice. I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for He has clothed me with the garments of salvation, He has covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels” (Isaiah 61:10).

Joy. “To console those who mourn in Zion, to give them beauty for ashes,
the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified” (Isaiah 61:3)

Healing. Wherever He entered, into villages, cities, or the country, they laid the sick in the marketplaces, and begged Him that they might just touch the hem of His garment. And as many as touched Him were made well” (Mark 6:56).

God’s Presence.  Thus says the Lord of hosts: ‘In those days ten men from every language of the nations shall grasp the sleeve of a Jewish man, saying, “Let us go with you, for we have heard that God is with you”’” (Zechariah 8:23).

Worship. We use mantles as a form of surrender and honor before our Lord Jesus, worshipping Him.

And as He went, many spread their clothes on the road…” (Luke 19:36)
